Dilnavaz Bamboat, in her multiple work avatars, has been a mental health therapist, early educator, entrepreneur and freelance writer. She is part of the editorial team at Ultra Violet and takes care of the section on Diaspora. She is also a contributing blogger at Women’s Web (http://www.womensweb.in/author/dilnavaz/). Her poetry has been published by Muse India Literary Journal and India Currents magazine. Dilnavaz is a founder member of India Helps (indiahelps.blogspot.com), a volunteer network that works with disaster victims and their families. Originally from Bombay, she has shuttled between India and the United States for the last 12 years and now lives in Silicon Valley with her spouse. Singing, history and red velvet cupcakes make her happy.
